Well we got going pretty quick so we could meet the bike rental guy at one of the camp sites in Marseillan Plage. We biked along the Canal du Midi last week and enjoyed the day so much that we wanted to do another bike day before leaving Servian.

Yesterday we biked from Marseillan Plage to Sète and it was amazing. The scenery was breathtaking. I think I’ve said breathtaking a couple time so far in my note taking but this really was. The bike paths were paved all along the coastline with constant views of the water.

We stopped for lunch in Sète and as usual you’re pretty much guessing at what to pick, after not noticing any “poulet”, or “porc” I thought I was safe with the lasagne, thankfully the waitress said it was “octopus lasagne” before letting me finish my order – that was a close one, I’m sure it was good if you liked and weren’t allergic to seafood, I then chose a salad and she said it was octopus too, I now know “poulpe” is octopus in French. Justin changed from the fish and chips to the cuttle fish when we deciphered that on the specials menu. It was interesting, a very small portion and to me looked like rubber. I don’t think it was his favourite meal either.

Oh so happy guy with his cuttle fish dish, feeling a little gipped with the portion size.

We then hopped on our bikes for the ride back and returned with time to spare. We parked our bikes on the beach and sat down for a snack and to enjoy the view.

We ended the day with a family paint night. It’s usually been a few games of cards or a board game like Carcassonne, but we mixed it up tonight and decided to be creative.
