Wake up, shower, quick breakfast and hit the road. 50 minutes to drive to the adventure park we found when we were in Montpellier. It opened at 9:30am we arrived an hour later. Not many people there and after a quick 5 minute safety video…in french, yes a “safety” video in french only, we were on our way. Justin and Shelby had one type of harness and Max had a pitchoun (word for child on the course, meaning “kiddo”) harness. I was his designated cheerleader and chaperone. What a day we had.
The kids did amazing! Shelby and Justin did some courses together. Then Justin did some adult ones on his own that he said were quite physical even for him. And then Max and I stayed in the kid area which was great for him. He was ready and wanting to go to the others that he saw in the vicinity but I had to keep breaking it to him that he was limited to the 6 courses in his area. What we thought was going to be a couple of hours turned into a whole day. We were there for close to 6 hours.
I met a lovely lady Sofia there with her 2 young kids and husband. I didn’t confirm but I think she was Greek, she mentioned her husband is from Finland and they have been living in Montpellier for a year now. She asked if we wanted to meet next Sunday so the kids could play, perhaps we could go to the zoo. I have her email and will touch base to line that up. Hey, look at me making friends in France already.
